Aidalor's story

Aidalor L. is from the village of Eastern, Wao, Lanao del Sur. She is 22 years old. Aidalor is married and has 1 school-age children. To make a living, Aidalor owned a business in the retail sector operating a specialized retail store. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from selling electronic products like cellphones, cellphone accessories and also electronic loads in the local community. Aidalor has been engaged in her business for over 2 years and earns approximately 4500 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2009, Aidalor joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Aidalor has successfully repaid a previous loan of 5000 PHP from HSPFI. This previous loan was used to to invest in a direct selling business. Aidalor is requesting a new loan of 8000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional inventory & working capital. This loan will be the 3rd loan taken out by Aidalor from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand the borrower's business.
