A loan of $1,000 helped to buy merchandise to stock her store.

Erika's story

Mrs. Erika is currently in her third loan cycle. She has a store in the zone of Kellumani near the zone of Achumani in the southern part of the city of La Paz. At night she sells salchipapas (French fries with fried hot dogs). She lives in her mother's house with her husband and their three children. Two of their children attend school, and their youngest stays home with her. Her husband works driving a bus and helps with the expenses of the home. She recently acquired a new post, and she works at that business all day. Her family is young and very responsible with their loan payments. With the loan money she wants to stock her little store by purchasing merchandise such as gifts, groceries, oil, soft drinks, candy, cookies, etc. She is very hard-working and very thankful to the institution for the support given her.
