A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging.

Nkau's story

Nkau is a 36-year-old man who lives in a multi-bedroom house, without electricity, along with 3 other family members, including 2 children. He relies on commercial farming and struggles with buying multiple fuels on an inadequate income.

Nkau spends the most of his energy expenses on gas, which costs up to 178 LSL per month. He also spends as much as an hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Nkau bought the ACE One cookstove to help him and his family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
