A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Matheriso's story

Matheriso is a 20-year-old woman who lives in separated huts, without access to electricity, with 2 other family members including 1 child.

She relies on commercial farming and struggles with buying multiple fuels which are insufficient. Matheriso spends the most amount of her energy expenses on paraffin and candles, which costs up to LSL32 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Matheriso bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also to help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
