Mulanda's story

Mulanda is a 56-year old refugee from Burundi. He has lived in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, in Uganda, for five years with his wife and children. An entrepreneur at heart, for the past four years, Mulanda has been selling maize and beans.

With the funds raised, Mulanda will be able to stock more maize and beans produce. Mulanda is confident about the prospects of the business because of the many customers due to the cash for food program. Mulanda dreams of being able to build a self-reliant life with his family by being able to fulfill their obligations.
