Katungamo Women's Voice Group
In this Group: Vincent, Afuwa, Joy, Charity, Penlope, Benson, Justus, Nicholas, Sadiki, Jennifer
It has now been 22 years since Vincent K. started up his farming business adventure in Ntungamo. The married father of five children is very aggressive and determined when it comes to lucrative business. He has since engaged himself in various farming practices, including livestock, which is his main source of livelihood along with growing and selling bananas and coffee.

His main drawbacks include bad weather conditions and drought, which reduce the rate of production in terms of milk since animals lack water and grass to feed on, and also fluctuating prices. With this loan, he is looking forward to purchasing more cattle to fatten and sell off at profit.

Vincent is very optimistic about getting more harvests and more sales revenue and thus be able to look after his family and pay for his children’s education.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
