Sope Mame Diarra Group's story

The SOPE MAME DIARRA solidarity group was created on the inauguration day of the Banc Villageois of DVF GUEOUL, to which it belongs. It consists of 15 women. Aside from kinship, the women share the same geographic air. Their main activity is small trade.

Mrs. Dior D., standing at the right of the photo, is the group leader. She is divorced and lives with her eight children. She sells beignets, which she makes by hand and then retails at the neighborhood bus station.

With her loan, she plans to buy wheat flour, vegetable oil, charcoal and condiments for the preparation and cooking of beignets. Her goal is to support her family and provide her children with food, health care, and schooling.

In this group: Fatou Makha, Adama, Dior, Anta, Sadio, Mame Fatou, Fatou Sylla, Mbayang, Aby, Anta, Maty, Maty, Dial, Fatou Seye, Aïssatou
