Bok Xalaat Group's story

The BOKK KHALAAT solidarity group was created six months ago. It consists of 12 women from the same neighborhood and members of the Banc Villageois of SANTHIABA COKI2.

The head of the group is Mrs. Fatou D., standing at the far right of the photo, wearing a large white caftan and wrapped in a red scarf. She is 45 years old, a widow and mother of two dependent children. She also supports another child entrusted to her, and her grandmother.

She sells fabrics. She gets her stocks in Mauritania for resale around her neighborhood in Coki. She plans to use her loan to buy wax cloth and Khartoum fabrics. Her goal is to provide her children and her grandmother with food and healthcare, and pay for the children’s tuition.
