Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Komi's story

Komi A. is 35 years-old, married and the father of one child. He lives with his family in the Kégué district, which is on the outskirts of the city of Lomé. In 2005, he began selling cookies and candy wholesale. Today he has a sizeable clientele. He gets his supplies in neighboring Ghana, thus making a larger profit margin on his sales. He has received some orders and would like a loan from WAGES in order to go to Accra, a city in GHANA, to stock up and satisfy his customers.
