A loan helped a member to buy rice, sugar, beans, chicken, and meat to stock her grocery store.

El Granero Group's story

Meet the communal bank "El Granero" from Pro Mujer in Chinandega, Nicaragua. They are organized clients, punctual and good administrators of their businesses: a grocery store, selling milk and curd cheese, and little food stands.

Santa Isabel (in the righthand corner, wearing pink pants and a flowered blouse) is 49 years old and is one of their outstanding clients. She has worked with the loans for three [loan] cycles. She is dynamic and patient. Her husband is retired, and they have three daughters.

Her principal goal is to expand her business in order to live a secure old age. A new loan will allow her to buy rice, sugar, beans, chicken, and meat to stock her grocery store.

They are counting on your support to build their progress!
