Visitacion's story

Visitacion P., from the village of Dalig Viejo, is 61 years old, married, and has seven adult-aged children. To make a living, for over five years Visitacion has been planting and harvesting a variety of vegetables for sale, earning approximately 6000 PHP a month.

This will be Visitacion's 11th loan from ASKI, and she plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to save as a reserve for future emergencies.

About ASKI: ASKI is one of the most successful microfinance institutions in the Philippines. It has 29 branches covering the Central and Northeastern areas. Its clients are mostly farmers, fisherfolk and small entrepreneurs.
