Audon's story

Audon is a married local woman living with her mother, husband, and children as a big family in a rural community of Surin Province in Northeast Thailand. Basically, her family cultivates a jasmine rice farm and operates a grocery store to make a living.

She is a rice farmer as the occupation is capable of generating income for her family, but she also owns a grocery store as her secondary job. At the moment, she is looking for a loan to improve her grocery store because she needed to generate more income to spend on her children's education fees. Therefore, she applied for the Kiva loan to expand her business by purchasing shelves, food, snacks, and beverages for selling at the grocery store.

The loan will allow Audon to afford sufficient items to serve clients and also help the local entrepreneur to generate more revenue. In the future, she has planned to increase more customers and pass the business on to her children as they grow up. Moreover, she would like to see her family being happy and having a better standard of living.
