Janet's story

Janet is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her father and five siblings in the Garu Tempane district of Ghana. She operates a business selling groceries.

With her previous loan, she purchased stock in bulk and reinvested the profit she earned into her business.

Janet is requesting a Kiva loan in order to purchase a wide range of stock to increase her profit. She plans to reinvest the profit she earns in to her business.

To repay the social interest on her loan, she will volunteer two and half hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in schools. She covers topics such as: my rights my choices, choosing your career path, active citizenship, etc.
