A loan helped to buy 2 baby calves and fencing materials.

Asenaca's story

In 2020, Asenaca applied for a loan to start a Kava farming business. Unfortunately, this was unsuccessful due to the recent flooding which completely destroyed all of her Kava plants and even her house .

However, this did not stop her desire to run a business.

Asenaca wishes to apply for a loan of $1000 FJD to start her cattle farming business. In Fijian culture, the more livestock you own, the richer you are.

With this loan she will be able to buy two baby calves in addition to the cow she has already and to buy all of the tools needed to build the fences for the cattle farm.

With these, Asenaca will be able to run an efficient business and to have a secure future for her family.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
