A loan helped buy ribbon for her knitting business and groceries to run a retail store.

'Ilaisaane's story

Ilaisaane is a 42-year-old mother of five children. Her husband is a seasonal worker, picking fruit. Together they are living in their own home. Two of her children still at high school.

With the help of her husband, Ilaisaane knits Tongan lavalava and prepares 20 foods daily for her canteen. Due to a high demand for her knitting, she is not able to supply enough to meet the demand. She is facing the challenge of not having enough ribbon to do her knitting. Her loans will help her to buy more for her business to overcome her challenges. She has a vision of commencing a new retail store to help her earn more for her family needs and wants, and to sell her canteen foods from her retail shop.
