A loan helped a member to stock up on used shoes which will supplement her working capital.

Njiwa Colombe Group's story

Mme Ortence is a Hekima IMF client and oversees the village group NJIWA COLOMBE. She is married, 48 years old and the mother of six children who all attend school. Her husband is unemployed.

She sells used shoes which is a business she started 10 years ago with the start up funds provided by her husband. In time, she joined the Hekkima programme to support her business which has grown progressively. This loan will allow her to purchase used shoes which will supplement her working capital. The challenge in her business is tied to a lack of customers.

Mme Ortence would like her children to continue studying and to be able to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to non-bankable business owners in the context of the global crisis known as Covid-19. The photo is of the leader alone due to social distancing measures necessitated by Covid-19.
