A loan helped to buy chemicals, fertilizer, a new wheelbarrow, a rake, new rubber boots, and a spade.

Grace's story

Grace is 41 years old, married, and has six children. She has a small farm where she grows taro root and bananas that she can sell in her community or at the market. Grace has been in this business for two years. She has many loyal customers because of her fresh products and good customer service. Grace needs a loan to buy chemicals, fertilizer, a new wheelbarrow, a rake, new rubber boots, and a spade so that she can take her business to the next level.

She will use the profits from her sales to cover her family’s weekly expenses. Grace became a member of SPBD in 2021. Her dream is to own a vehicle for making deliveries. She is very grateful to have the support of the lenders so that she can help herself, build her small business, and improve her family’s standard of living.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
