A loan of $1,225 helps to buy cow breeds and vaccines for use on the farm.

Paun's story

Paun is a local married woman. She lives with her husband and grandchild in a rural community of Surin Province in Northeast Thailand. Basically, she cultivates a jasmine rice farm and raises cows to make a living.

Most of the villagers in the area like to eat beef, so Paun saw the opportunity to improve the business. She desired to increase the number of cow breeds at her farm and increase her income. Thus, she applied for a Kiva loan to buy cow breeds for raising and selling as well as spend the loan to buy vaccines for her cows.

The loan will enable her to afford cow breeds, needed vaccines, and support the local woman entrepreneur. From now on, she wants her family to get a better living standard and live in this world with happiness.
