A loan of $3,900 helps a member to stock up with sugar, yeast and mustard, which will build up her working capital.

Irenge Group's story

Bibiche is a client of the IMF Hekima and is a member of the village group « IRENGE ». She is a widow, 36 years old and the mother of six children, all of whom are all in school. She sells the local drink. She started this business eight years ago with start up funds received from her deceased husband. Later, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business; over the course of which she progressively evolved. With this new loan she is going to stock up with sugar, yeast and mustard, which will build up her working capital. The challenge in her business is linked to the lack of customers.
She would like for her children to continue to study and to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to unbankable businesses in the context of the global crisis tied to COVID-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group because of COVID-19 and respecting social distancing measures.

In this group: Esperance, Feza, Justin, Sifa, Gabriella, Solange, Gentil, Meschack, Chance, Bibiche, Pascasie, Christine, Martine, Julienne, Premice
