A loan helped a member to invest in the purchase of a "salchipapero" [sausage and French fries] cart to sell her product.

Huañakahua Group's story

Elisa, age 29, works making and selling the fast food "salchipapas". She began her business approximately five years ago.

A typical day for the borrower is to arise very early to tend to her children and do household chores; then she works preparing her product, and then goes out to sell. She knows the members of her group because they are close friends.

With her first loan, she invested in the purchase of supplies for her business. With this second loan, she will invest in a "salchipapero" cart to sell her product. Her goal and aspiration for this loan are to have greater income. Her goal in life is to get her children ahead professionally.

In the photo are only the members of the board of directors, because the disbursement was made remotely due to the pandemic.
