Manjana's story

Manjana is a married woman living with her husband, grandparents, and child in a rural community of Surin province, the northeastern region of Thailand. Basically, she works at a local nursery school and owns a small beef cow farm.

During this period, she looked for a loan to buy more beef cow breeds for raising and selling, so she applied for the Kiva loan to invest in the occupation. She learned and was inspired by her father in operating the beef cow farm. Importantly, the occupation is capable of generating income sufficient for spending in her family.

The loan is very helpful for her to spend at the farm as well as support this woman entrepreneur to generate more income. In the future, she has planned to sustain the occupation and increase the size of the farm accordingly.
