A loan helped a member to buy bricks, cement and beams.

Aldea Group's story

Ortencia de Jesus is 51 years old. She lives with her 23-year-old son and her mum. They both depend on her financially.

Ortencia works as a chef in a restaurant from Tuesday to Sunday. It is a trade which she learned from a young age and it has allowed her to make an income and help with household responsibilities.

Ortencia is applying for a loan to buy bricks, cement, beams and improve the roof of her house as it is now damaged and in the winter season water comes in and damages her belongings. She dreams of giving her family a better quality of life.

Ortencia along with Sandra and Silvia make up the united group, “Aldea”. They are responsible, entrepreneurial people who aim to get their families ahead.

In this group: Ortencia De Jesus, Sandra Patricia, Silvia Veronica
