Bendu W., who is holding the sign, is the leader of this group of five borrowers called God’s Blessing #2.

Bendu is 35 years old, single and has five children who range from 5 to 14 years old. She was not privileged to attend school due to poverty. She cares for one sibling.

For three years, she has been selling beans and wheat in the Redlight Market on the outskirts of Monrovia, Liberia.

She plans to use her 6,000-Liberian-Dollar portion of this 30,000-Liberian-Dollar group loan to buy more bags of beans and wheat.

She describes herself as a friendly woman. Her goal is to improve her business and build a house.
