The ten members of the group BENDIYA 2 are married women with an average age of 34. They all have 3 children on average and most live in polygamous families in Moosibougou, one of the villages in the commune of Loulouni in the Sikasso Region of southern Mali.

They collaborate with the Microfinance insitution Soro Yiriwaso in order to successfully carry out their agricultural activities during winter. This is their second loan with the institution, with the first being duly repaid.

Diatou C., who is one of the members of the group, specialises in the cultivation of bambara groundnut.

With her loan, she intends to buy agricultural products and equipment to cultivate 2 hectares.

After the harvest, the produce is sold at the market of Louloni to male clientele.

She hopes to make an average profit of 120 000 FCFA each season.

Her profits will enable her to repay her loan and also to assist with the daily family expenses.

Les dix membres du groupe BENDIYA 2 sont des femmes mariées qui ont une moyenne d’âge de 34ans, ont en moyenne 3 enfants et vivent la plupart dans des familles polygames à MOSSIBOUGOU un des villages de la commune de LOULOUNI dans la sous préfecture de LOULOUNI, 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles pendant l’hivernage. Elles sont à leur deuxième prêt avec l’institution, le prêt passé a été bien remboursé.
DIATOU C. qui est un des membre du groupe s’est spécialisée dans la culture du pois de terre.
Avec son prêt, elle compte acheter des intrants et les petits matériels pour entretenir : 2 hectares.
Après la récolte la production est essentiellement vendue au marché de LOULOUNI à une clientèle composée d’hommes..
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 120 000 FCFA par campagne.
Son bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi à participer dans certaines dépenses quotidiennes de la famille.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
