A loan of $1,400 helped to purchase merchandise.

Anonymous's story

The Kiva borrower is a 32-year old single man from Lebanon. He is living with his parents and one brother. He is working as a plumber, installing toilets, faucets, etc. He has been involved in this occupation for the past 5 years.

This will be his second loan and he said that the first loan amount was sufficient to fulfill his business objectives for the past year. He also says that his business productivity and income have increased as a result of the loan. He has been very reliable with his repayments to Ameen and has actually repaid his loan in full several months early.

He is asking for a larger loan amount of $1,400 to purchase merchandise needed in order to expand his business and pursue more work and more projects.

Note: Based on the political and social challenges of Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes of this entrepreneur have been altered to protect him or her (i.e. blacking out portions of the entrepreneur in his picture, not indicating hisname and location, etc.). Ameen s.a.l. appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages lenders to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
