A loan helped to buy 100 kg of potato seeds, fertilizer, manure, and crop treatments to ensure her work.

Marie Simone's story

Marie Simone is 57 years old. She is married and has six children, who are all independent. She lives in a village on the edge of town. For over thirty years, she has been working the land growing potatoes. Her husband sells fuels.

A borrower at Vahatra, she has been able to boost her capital through this partnership. She would like to increase her harvest yields. She wants to improve her family's living conditions. So she is asking for the support of lenders to purchase 100 kg of potato seeds, fertilizer, manure, and crop treatments to ensure her work.

She will sell her harvests at the local market. With her earnings from the loan, she envisions buying arable land.
