A loan of $900 helped buying supplies to repair watches.

José Francisco's story

José Francisco C. M. is 64 years old. He lives in Aguilares, in the department of San Salvador. He lives with his wife, who dedicates herself to the needs of their household. They have two children who are already married and live in their own homes. José is a man who has been accustomed to working since he was a small boy. He has always been very hard-working and responsible with his family. He has a shop where he sells watches and accessories such as bands, pins and batteries, and he also provides watch repair services. Additionally, he sells gold, silver and metal-plated jewelry. José is well-known in his area, since his shop has been in the same place for many years, next to the city hall in Aguilares, where he can always be found repairing watches. He has the full confidence of the people who know him, since he has always distinguished himself with the quality of his work. José is requesting a loan which will enable him to buy a larger quantity of replacement parts as well as a broader variety of watches, ranging from children's styles to formal watches for adults. In this way, he hopes to give a new impulse to his business and "reinvent" it, so that he can maintain it on a stable basis.
