A loan helped to buy additional goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar and coffee.

Lucinda's story

Lucinda is a modest and enterprising 34-year-old married woman. She has a very good understanding of and experience with general stores. She has one of her own, which she has been running for many years.

Her store is located in an excellent spot where it's easy to find, and many people come to buy her goods every day. Running her business has helped Lucinda become more independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's everyday needs.

She would like a loan of 1000 USD through Kiva's field partner KIF to help improve her store. She plans to use this loan to buy additional supplies of goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, coffee and many other things to resell at her store.

Lucinda hopes to expand the size of her business in the future as the result of her investment and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
