Makarabo's story

Makarabo is a 28-year-old woman who lives in a one-bedroom house with 4 other family members including 1 child. Makarabo works as a factory worker but struggles with buying multiple fuel and insufficient income. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on LPG and electricity, which costs up to LSL 437 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Makarabo bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
