A loan helped to buy a medium pig and feed for it.

Charline's story

Charline is a woman of fifty. She is married and the mother of three children. She lives in a village on the outskirts of a city. Her family owns their own home.

Charline has worked in pig farming for three decades. Her husband is a chauffeur. She has partnered with Vahatra in order to contract loans, which has proven to be profitable.

Recently, Charline had decided to develop her activity. With this loan she plans to purchase a medium sized pig and its feed. She plans to fatten it up over the course of several months and resell it at the city marketplace.

The revenue from Charline's sales will allow her to purchase more pigs and increase her number of livestock. She hopes to have the support of Kiva lenders.
