A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy fruits and ingredients to make fruit juices.

Gorgorlou Group's story

Solidarity group GORGORLOU was created in 2006, during the seventh cycle of the "Banc Villageois de GADAPARA". It is composed of seven women from the same neighborhood. They created their group out of solidarity and because they are neighbors.

Mrs. Aminata D., standing on the right in the picture, is the head of the group. She's 46 years old, married, and the mother of four children. She sells natural fruit juices that she makes herself. She sells at her home, as well as at the central market in her neighborhood.

She will use her new loan to buy fruits and ingredients needed to make her juices. Her goal is to pay her children's school expenses and help feed her family, while at the same time bolstering her savings.

In this group: Kadiatou M., Ramatoulaye, Mouskeba, Khady, Aïda, Aminata, Mane Satan
