Tacku Liggey Group's story

The TACKU LIGGEY solidarity group was created after the GADAPARA Banc Villageois was established 11 years ago. The group is composed of 9 women who all come from the same neighborhood. Mrs. AWA D., standing at the extreme right in the photo, is the leader of the solidarity group. She is 30 years old, married and the mother of four children. Her business consists of selling cold drinks. She makes natural juices with home-grown products: monkey bread, sorrel leaves, ginger, etc. Her loan will enable her to stock up with raw materials for her juices in sufficient quantity to increase her juice production. She contributes financially to the support of her family and will expand her savings from her earnings.
