Norma's story

Norma is 53 years of age. She is married and has two children. She lives with her family in the La Coruña settlement , a rural zone that belongs to the district of TambogranD., which is an agricultural district dedicated chiefly to the cultivation of fruit which belongs to the province of Piura and is located in the region of the same name, over three hours from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the Lambayeque region. She has been dedicated to agriculture since she was very young, Like most of the farmers of the zone, she is dedicated to sowing fruit-bearing trees. She sows lemon in a small plot of land. When she harvests it, she offers them for sale to the various food processing plants of the zone, which manufacture their products in order to export them to foreign countries. This is an important source of income for their family. Additionally she raises and sells animals such as hogs, ducks and turkeys. Norma wants to maintain her lemon orchard to be assured of good production. Because of this she has requested a loan of 1200 new soles from Edpyme Alternative for the first time that she plans to invest in the purchase of fertilizers, so that she can achieve her objective. Norm is a hard-working woman who always gives the best of herself to move her family ahead. Her greatest dream is is to continue working to offer her children the opportunity of having some type of higher education.
