Amigas Unidas Group's story

This committee was established in the neighborhood of San Lorenzo in the city of Caaguazú. The group consists of 17 women who gathered to form a solidarity group in which they share joint responsibility. They work independently in their own businesses selling clothing, shoes, food, handmade clothing, groceries, fruits, vegetables, and other products.


One of the members is Sra. María. She is a determined and active woman who has worked hard to maintain unity in her group by organizing teambuilding and fundraising activities. María has a business in her home where she offers household goods to her many customers. Her husband works and helps with the business while all of her children attend school. They are a united and hardworking family.


María is requesting a loan to buy various products for her business such as sugar, flour, noodles, oil, charcoal, and other items.
