Arlyn's story

Arlyn lives in a simple dwelling with her family in San Dionisio, Iloilo. She is 34 years old with a nine-year-old son. She makes a living through a direct selling business. She has been in this livelihood for many years. Arlyn also has a sari-sari (variety) store for additional income.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP 10,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines. She will use this loan for additional capital to buy RTW (ready-to-wear) goods like shirts, pants, dresses and other apparels. The rest of the loan will be used to buy grocery items.
