A loan of $950 helped buy fruit, vegetables, meats and ingredients in order to have a broad inventory.

Doris's story

Mrs. Doris P. is 49 years old, lives in the La Primavera neighborhood, is married, and her husband is retired. They have 3 grown children who work; the youngest is 18 and studies in the university. Doris has a catering business where she serves meals over the lunch hours to businesses or private homes. She has done this for 16 years. Thanks to her husband’s support she was able to open this business which today is the most important source of income for them. In the future she hopes to have the necessary resources to buy some tables and charis with the objective of opening a dining room and selling food. So she is seeking a loan to buy fruit, vegetables, meats and ingredients in order to have a broad inventory and take advantage of the demand for food as the holidays are approaching in the city of Managua. The recuperation of the money will be immediate because the upcoming holidays provide the best economic conditions so that the investment will bring economic well-being to her family.
