Rosa is the Communal Bank President. Throughout her time as a member, she has learned how to be responsible and establish some savings. Rosa is single and has six children, four of whom are in school. She manages a restaurant from a rented location near the Magdalena Market. Rosa works every day from morning to night with the help of her children. She is requesting a loan of 600 PEN to buy rice, sugar, and sodas.
One of Rosa’s children is about to enter the university, so she hopes they will all be able to finish their studies. She would like to see them become professionals and also hopes to improve her business.

Uno de los hijos de Rosa ingreso a la Universidad y su deseo es que culmine sus estudios, y que sus demás hijos sean profesionales, también mejorar su negocio.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
