A loan of $150 helped to purchase fertilizers, seeds and other farm inputs.

Berlyn's story

Berlyn A. is from the town of Sta. Josefa. She is 23 years old. Berlyn is married and has four young children. Her eldest is only aged 8. To make a living, Berlyn raises crops. The main source of income for the business comes from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Berlyn is working hard to provide for her family's daily needs. She also wants to save for her children's future.

Berlyn joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Berlyn has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI.

Berlyn is requesting a new loan of 6,000 Philippine pesos (PHP), which will be used to purchase fertilizers, seeds and other farm inputs. This will be the second loan taken out by Berlyn from CEVI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the family's income and improve their house.
