A loan helped to buy more clothes to sell.

Amanda's story

Amanda is 34 years old. She lives with her husband and two children. Both of her children are in school and live at home. Amanda is a hardworking business woman who sells clothes. For the past four years, she has been managing her sales and faces no problems with her sales. She uses a car to transport supplies at her business site and sells six days a week.

She is asking for a loan through BRAC Liberia and field partner, KIVA, to buy more clothes to sell in order to repay her loan installment and increase her income. She likes her business because it helps to support her family. In the future, Amanda wants to improve her living conditions and continue her children's education. She wishes to say thanks.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
