A loan of $400 helped to buy shoes and clothing.

Juliette's story

Juliette D. was born on May 18, 1967, in Mono. She's unmarried but has two school-attending children. For two years, she's been living alone in Agla in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. To provide for herself, Juliette sells shoes and second hand clothing in her neighborhood. She gets her supplies in Dantokpa, an international marketplace in Benin, as well as in Lomé, Togo.

Juliette has been running this business for five years, and already obtained four loans from Kiva's partner, ALIDé. All loans were repaid without problems. She would like to bolster her business and increase her clientele and, consequently, her revenue. This is why she's seeking another loan.
