Joseph's story

Joseph D. is from the town of Sto. Niño. He is 37 years old and single, but still hopes to have his own family someday. To make a living, Joseph owns and operates a business venture in the agriculture sector planting and harvesting rice for sale. Joseph has been engaged in his business for over 18 years. He says he wants to save for his future family.

Joseph joined Kiva partner, CEVI, to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. He has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Joseph is requesting a new loan of 12,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase fertilizers such as manure and to pay laborers to help prepare his land. This loan will be his fourth from CEVI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve his business.
