Editha T. is from the town of Sto. Niño. She is 55 years old. Editha is married and has 8 children, and four of her kids still go to school. To make a living, Editha owns and operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from planting and harvesting rice for sale. She says one of the reasons she works hard is to sustain her children's education. She wants them to have a bright future.
Editha joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Editha has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Editha is requesting a new loan of 15,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional seeds and fertilizers. This loan will be the tenth loan taken out by Editha from CEVI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay the tuition fees of her children and improve their living conditions.
