A loan helped a young boy to open a coffee bar in his village to help his father with the family income.

Kristjan's story

Kristjan is a 23-year-old boy from a small village located near Korça city. His parents are divorced and he lives with his father. Kristjan does agricultural activities to help his father with the family income, meanwhile his father, apart from the agricultural activities, migrates seasonally in Greece to provide for both of them.

As a young boy Kristjan has plans for the future and wants to do other jobs despite the agricultural activities he is providing. As he lives in a small village and there is no coffee bar nearby, he has found a place that can be easily converted into a coffee bar so he will have the possibility to do something of his own.

Kristjan is asking for the first time for Kiva lenders' support in order to rent the building and to pay for the equipment needed in order to bring his plan to reality.
