A loan helped to invest in some improvements to her workshop as well as a bulk purchase of yarn.

Raquel's story

Raquel, who works alongside her husband, Gregor (pictured), is an artisan who specializes in alpaca accessories. She would like to invest in some improvements to her workshop as well as a bulk purchase of yarn.

Raquel has been selling through NOVICA since 2006. This is her story:

Raquel and husband Gregor are dedicated to preserving Peruvian textile traditions. "What draws us to weaving is the opportunity to work with natural fibers by rescuing ancient Inca weaving techniques. We love to see the transformation of loose yarns into garments and accessories. We help an Andean community by employing weavers on traditional looms who then help us finish each piece by hand."

"We are excited to always face new challenges. This is why we come to you. You can have full confidence that we will continue to give the best of ourselves, and we will try as always to maintain our quality products and continue creating new proposals for the taste of our customers. Thank you."
