A loan helped to buy dairy cows and increase her sales of milk to a local factory.

Gulshat's story

Gulshat is 41 years old, married with 4 children. She has a high school education. Her family's main source of income has been raising cattle and growing crops since 2000. Thanks to her hard work, today the farm has 4 cows, 30 sheep, 3 horses, and 1.84 hectares where she grows organic potatoes and clover.
Gulshat has an agreement with a local factory to sell her organic milk to them for further dairy processing. This enables her to continuously reinvest in her farm. When Gulshat learned that she can get a loan from Bai Tushum Bank backed by her future contract with the factory, she asked for a loan of 170,000 KGS. This helps her buy more dairy cows and increase her sales volume of organic milk.
The payment from the factory will come directly to her bank account, with her loan repayments automatically deducted to Kiva. Earnings from this loan will help Gulshat further improve her farm.
