A loan helped to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old house.

Srey's story

Srey, age 30, is a widowed woman who lives with her family in the area of Angkor Borei district, Takeo province. At home she has been operating a small convenience shop, offering many types of products including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things, to local people in her community. She has good experience and is very responsible in doing her business tasks, such as asking customers questions and recommending the best product based on their desires and needs, and preparing products to be displayed on the sales floor. Srey is trying very hard to earn household income, so that she’s able to provide her family members with food, medicine, education, and basic living needs.

At the moment, Srey's house is under construction, and she needs more materials to finish it. Due to a shortage of funds, she requested a loan, which she will use to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old house. With the loan, she can purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement, as her house lacks a roof, and pay for labor costs. She hopes that with the help of the loan she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions.

Srey aims to purchase more land for agricultural purposes and open a small grocery store to earn additional income. She sends her thanks to all lenders for helping her family.

This loan is special because:

It provides access to clean, renewable energy sources, like solar and biogas.
