A loan helped a member to purchase shirts, pants, blouses and other items.

Mujeres Activas De Estacion Group's story

This communal bank started more than a year ago through an alliance of neighbors and friends who are supportive of each other. They would like to continue working as a group and helping each other. They are in cycle 3, and they are also part of the poverty elimination program, where they all strive to improve themselves and get ahead.

One of the members, Sara, works in the morning as a housekeeper, and in the afternoon, she sells all kinds of clothing. In this way, she helps provide income for her household.

Sara is married and has four children. She works hard in order to support them and, together with her husband, provide them a higher quality of life.

Sara is asking for this loan in order to purchase a variety of garments to sell such as shirts, pants, blouses and other items.

Please note: Only one person appears in the photo but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of the need to avoid crowds of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
