A loan of $200 helped purchase fabric for embroideries.

Placida's story

Placida is 44 and lives with her husband and daughter in their own home. For the past 15 years she has made beautiful embroideries from home with her daughter's help. Together the produce beautiful and colorful dress clothing that is then offered to customers. Over the years she has become well known as an embroiderer and is sought by buyers from various places. She feels this is a great achievement aside from the fact that the work is lucrative. Additionally, she sells repaired second hand shoes on weekends which also generates income. She hopes to increase her embroidery production and have greater working capital, as well as a shoe and typical clothing store. This is her first loan with MFP and she is happy to know she has financial backing. She is also happy to be a part of the community bank because all the members are responsible and supportive. She's thankful to all the people helping with the loan since it will be helpful to the business. She will invest the loan in the purchase of embroidery material such as corduroy, and thread in various color and quality.
