A loan helped to add more products to his grocery business.

Anathole's story

Anathole is a refugee, but more than that, he is a husband and business owner.

He has a proven track record of success. Since he opened his grocery store business, it has gained a good reputation in the camp and has a strong base of loyal customers.

It all started in 2015 when Anathole fled the violence in Burundi that was due to political instability. After resettling in one of Rwanda's refugee camps, Anathole quickly started his business to provide for his family.

After participating in AEC’s business training program focused on improving financial management and increasing sales, Anathole requested a loan to grow his business even more.

This loan will help Anathole to add more products to his grocery business, offering his community more options and giving him the opportunity to build a better life through the growth of his business.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees launch businesses to rebuild their lives.
