A loan of $400 helped buy 3 cartons of sugar, milk, batteries and clothing.

Denise Delhia's story

Denise Delhia C. was born 9 October 1961 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Married to Steeve Nadohou, Denise Delhi is mother of two children, both attending (or having attended) school. She settled some 20 years ago in the Agla borough of Cotonou, where she resides with her husband and children. The couple share family expenses.

Denise Delhia interrupted her schooling at secondary level. For the past five years she has retailed various products (sugar, milk, batteries, toilet paper, vinegar, charcoal, etc.), and as a side business, she sells clothing in her shop. She gets her products from Dantokpa, Benin’s international marketplace, and from Lomé in a country neighboring Benin.

Denise Delhia is a regular ALIDé client, having been granted two previous loans, both reimbursed in full. Facing increasing customer demand, she wishes to expand her activity and improve customer satisfaction, which is why she is requesting a third loan.
